• How long before my baby arrives should I order my baby’s bed and cot linen ? Dream furniture is a proudly SA company that manufactures all our beautiful products in Johannesburg, thereby allowing our clients freedom to choose exactly what they envision – Paint colours, fabric colours, compactum sizes and even handles. Our typical lead time is 6–8 weeks. If you confirm your order by month five or six of your pregnancy, your furniture should arrive by month seven or eight, giving you plenty of time (and energy!) to set up the nursery before baby’s arrival. Since babies can safely arrive from 36 weeks, this timing allows for a stress-free setup and any finishing touches so you can enjoy the final weeks of pregnancy with peace of mind.
• Q: Do you have items in stock or are they made to order?
  • A: Our entire range is handcrafted in Johannesburg and made to your specific order. This allows you the freedom to choose those special finishes that will make your nursery unique.
• Q: What are the typical order times?
  • A: Rocking chairs: 4 – 6 weeks; Cots, compactums, beds: 6 – 8 weeks; Linen: 4 – 6 weeks.
• Q: Can my order be made sooner?
  • A: Possibly! Contact us to discuss your needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate urgent requests.

• Q: Is there a delivery fee?
  • A: No, delivery is free nationwide! Dream Furniture covers all delivery fees, whether it’s a small parcel or a truckload, saving you money upon checkout.
• Q: Do you offer free delivery outside of main cities in South Africa?
  • A: Yes, we offer free delivery to all areas within South Africa.
• Q: What happens if I order from another province and my order gets damaged in transit?
  • A: Please report any damage to us immediately. We’ll assess the situation and arrange for a priority uplift or exchange. We work closely with our transport partners to ensure a swift resolution.

• Q: What type of wood is used?
  • A: We use high-quality Supawood in all our baby and kids’ furniture, along with strong pinewood dowels for added durability.
• Q: Do you use chipboard?
  • A: No, we never use chipboard. Even our drawers and cot base boards are made from durable Supawood.
• Q: What kind of drawer runners do you use?
  • A: All our drawers feature telescopic runners for smooth, quiet operation.
• Q: What type of paint do you use?
  • A: We use water-based, high-quality, low VOC, and odorless paint that is safe for babies.

• : Does the furniture arrive assembled?
  • A: All items arrive assembled except for cots and beds, which are flat-packed for easier transport.
  • If you’re in Gauteng, our drivers will assemble your cot or bed for you.
  • For deliveries outside of Gauteng, your order will be sent with a reliable transporter. Don’t worry, assembly is straightforward! We’ll provide a complete assembly kit and clear instructions.

• Q: How many base levels do the cots have?
  • A: All our cots have 3 adjustable base levels, except for the Jason and Sleigh converter cots, which have 2 levels.
• Q: Do the cots convert to junior beds?
  • A: Yes, our cots are designed to convert into toddler beds, extending their lifespan.
• Q: How long can my child use the toddler bed conversion?
  • A: Typically, children can use the toddler bed conversion from 3 to 5 years old.
• Q: What is the purpose of the hinged rail?
  • A: The hinged rail is ideal for co-sleeping, allowing you to easily access your baby when the cot is placed next to your bed. If you plan to have the cot in the nursery, a standard rail will be perfect.

• Q: Can I purchase linen items separately and not in a bundle?
  • A: Yes, you can! Contact us directly to arrange a manual order for individual linen pieces.
• Q: Can I order linen in a different colour?
  • A: In most cases, yes. Contact us to discuss your desired colour options.

Mattresses

• Q: What is the main difference between the foam mattress and the Sealy pocket coiled mattress?
  • A: Longevity is the key difference. A Sealy pocket coiled mattress is a long-term investment that can be used for multiple children. Foam mattresses, while comfortable, may need replacing over time as they lose density.

Yes, our combo prices already include the 10% discount. We calculate the full price of the cot and compactum individually and then deduct 10% from the total.
